Distributors and Distribution Network Across Pakistan

At present, Global Science has a network of 128 distributors across Pakistan - from large cities to the remote, small villages - to ensure the timely delivery/ supply of our magazine/ books to our readers. Besides, Global Science has a large number of annual subscribers who receive it regularly at their homes, offices, institutions or any other place as per their desire. It is also worthmentioning that - so far in the history of science journalism in Pakistan - Global Science has the wides network of distributors that covers almost 95% area of the country.

System of Supply & Distribution

Distribution/ supply system of Global Science consists of two major parts: one that deals with Distributors/ Vendors; and other deals with annual subscribers of Global Science.

Distributors

Distributors are categorized as: (i) Major distributors; and (ii) Minor distributors.

Major Distributors: major distributors have working coordination with the bookshops and news stamds in their respective cities, so they cover a larger region. A major distributor is appointed as per our agency rules. Books and/ or magazines ordered by major distributors are supplied through Cargo Services (land, rail or air). Typically, one major distributor has a sub-network of his own, comprising more than 100 street vendors. As of now, the distribution network of Global Science consists of 18 Major Distributors.

Minor Distributors: as per our definition, minor distributors are either street vendors and/ or distributors with smaller sub-network of street vendors - which is usual in villages and towns of remote areas. For this reason, magazines/ books ordered by minor distributors are supplied through postal services.

Subscribers/ Direct buyers

All subscribers receives Global Science on their homes, offices, institutions and/ or any other place as per their desire (within Pakistan or abroad). All magaiznes/ books to subscribers/ direct buyers are supplied through registered mail service (recorded delivery).
